Tony's alone a lot as of late. It's one of the not so fun side effects of being Iron Man--one of many actually. He's always been the kind of guy who liked company, whether it be someone on his arm, in his bed, or just around him, but it's pretty hard to keep people in your life when you can't really do much in the way of touching them. The damn chestplate he has to wear at all times makes chasing people off, or drifting away from them, a near certainty.
He still talks to people plenty, sure, but he's a few degrees removed from them, from any real connection. It figures that saving the world would come with a cost, Tony just hadn't known it would be this. Iron Man can't touch anyone because he's under all that metal, and Tony can't touch anyone because he's, well, Iron Man. For someone who was known as a playboy for the longest time, he can't remember the last time he touched someone in a more intimate way than a pat on the shoulder.
It sucks, but it's life. Maybe some kind of penance for everything else he's done. Lord knows he deserves it.

Quick/low energy things that I enjoy cooking mostly consist of roasted vegetables! Usually broccoli, cauliflower, or potatoes. Throw a little olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder on them and stick them in the oven for a bit and they rock.

½ cup brown sugar
¼ tsp salt
2/3 cup light com syrup
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup pecans chopped
1 9 unbaked pie shell
Beat eggs lightly and add other ingredients. Mix well. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake 40 minutes at 325. Filling will be solid when done.
Books: One of my favorite novels is house of leaves! It's very unique and a little hard to read but absolutely a literary adventure.

3/4 c. sugar
2 or 3 eggs
1 c. dried cranberries
1/2 Ib. butter
1 tsp. salt (scant)
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
Sift flour, sugar, salt, baking powder cranberries, and nutmeg. Add shortening and mix like pie dough. Add eggs and a few drops of milk so dough holds together. Make balls and flatten. Bake on both sides on hot griddle on top of stove as pancakes until lightly browned.
